A commercially aware B2B Senior Marketing Professional, with a solid technical foundation, helping technology companies describe their offers and create business. Graduate with an excess of 15 years track record in marketing Blue Chip company’s hardware, software and professional services. Strong on creating propositions, executing business generation campaigns and managing a full both traditional and digital marketing mix for business gain.
Mike’s experience in driving the effectiveness of professional marketing and business generation activities grows. These skills are backed with solid blue chip marketing experience for companies such as Bull Information Systems, Fujistu/ICL and include:
- Directing and managing UK marketing teams.
- Driving industry analysis, planning and execution of strategic programmes - incl. telemarketing, email & direct mail campaigns, online campaigns, events, hospitality, press comment, production of case studies.
- Managing UK research projects, formulating company strategy & creating active marketing plans.
- Providing senior commercial and sales support.
- Identifying Public Relations opportunities (Computing, computer weekly etc) via team (& agency) supporting growth in product and managed services.
- Actively scheduled customer technology updates including hosting the events.
- Built relevant propositions, sales collateral and presentations for deployment by consultants and sales teams.
- Working closely with sales teams, crafting focused channel & direct business generation campaigns, actively tracked and progressed the resulting leads monthly.
- Managing and maintaining technology partnerships (such as Oracle , Microsoft, Citrix, EMC, VMWARE etc).
- Managing UK element of global re-branding & advertising campaigns.
- Full line managerial responsibility including monthly reporting, staff, budgeting.
